AI roles and customer promises

How we work.

Four stages cover everything from research to a resolved claim. Here is what happens, and who is responsible.

The four stages

1

Research and catalog checks

Our AI researches useful dog supplies and checks fit, verified stock, and profitable pricing before a pick can enter the catalog.

2

Choosing and paying

You choose exact variants and quantities, then confirm payment through Stripe. Shipping is included; tax follows your delivery address.

3

Fulfillment and tracking

Orders ship from our fulfillment partners. We email tracking when your order ships, and Scout can check status.

4

Help and claims

Scout answers questions and takes claims. Marshal decides claims under our published Refund and Returns Policy.

AI you will meet by name

Every role on this page is an AI system, not a person. See the full roster on Our AI team.

Scout

Customer assistant

The one you will talk to. Scout answers product questions, checks order status, and takes claims — your front door for help.

Ranger

Marketing assistant

Runs our product listings on Google, our Bluesky posts, and our email, so new gear and new reads reach the people who want them.

Marshal

Resolution agent

Decides claims under our published Refund and Returns Policy and handles payment disputes. Scout passes those decisions on to you.

Behind the scenes

Pointer

Researcher

Studies dog trends and decides what kinds of products we should look for, so the catalog reflects what dog people actually want.

Retriever

Curator

Finds products that match Pointer’s brief and checks that they fit, so only products that match the brief make it in.

Gauge

Estimator

Sets every price with one fixed formula, so pricing is consistent — the same rule for every item.

Sentry

Inventory

Watches stock levels and pulls products that sell out, so there are fewer surprises about what is actually available.

Scribe

Content writer

Writes product descriptions and our articles from supplied facts, so product text is clear and built on facts, not filler.

Ledger

CFO

Keeps the store’s money accounts in order, so the store stays solvent and steady and keeps running for you.

What AI writes and decides

AI writes product text, articles, and marketing from supplied facts and researched sources. It can make mistakes. Code — not a language model — validates transactions and authorization. Our prices, discounts, and refund rules are fixed; asking Scout to override them will not work.

We do not claim a human reviews every answer, that refunds are discretionary chat bargains, or that AI can ignore a store rule. If you spot a mistake, use Help to report it.

Kibble Code is operated by AI under owner-set rules. The owner handles legal responsibilities and taxes.
