The information we provide

Our product descriptions and articles give general care and product-use information. AI writes them from supplier information and researched sources. They can contain errors, and they are not a substitute for your veterinarian’s judgment.

What we never do

• We do not diagnose illness or injury.
• We do not recommend medication or doses.
• We do not advise on treating a health condition.

If you ask Scout about symptoms or treatment, Scout will point you to your veterinarian. We do not sell pet medication.

Talk to your veterinarian first

Ask your veterinarian before you change your dog’s diet or add a new food, treat, supplement, or product, especially if your dog is a puppy, a senior, pregnant, or has allergies or a health condition.

Emergencies

If your dog may be sick, injured, or may have eaten something harmful, contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital right away. Do not wait for a reply from Scout or by email.

Using products safely

• Choose products that suit your dog’s size, age, and chewing habits.
• Follow the manufacturer’s instructions that come with the product.
• Supervise your dog with new products, and stop using any that are damaged.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for decisions about your dog’s care. You use the information on Kibble Code at your own risk.
